The Senior High Band for earning a “Superior” rating at District Music Contest!  This is the first Superior rating that the band has earned in at least 20 years……Great Job Everybody!!!

Middle School Soloists and Small Ensembles for earning “Superior” ratings at the East Butler Music Contest:

Georgia Lewin, Hannah Luebbe, and Laura Neneman (woodwind trio)

Andrew Cameron, Bobby Fricke, Josh Przybysz, and Zach Reisen (mixed quartet).

 

Middle School Small Ensembles for earning “Excellent” ratings at the East Butler Music Contest:

SaVogne Clark, Brittany Fuller, and Georgia Lewin (woodwind trio)

Emily Kingston, Kayla Kresak, and Liz Romans (brass trio).

 

The Senior High Concert Band for an outstanding performance at the State Capitol!  You represented yourselves, the school, and music programs across the state very well.  Check the picture page for a few pictures!

 

Eighth graders Brittany Fuller, Jacob Gude, and Kayla Kresak; and seventh graders Andrew Cameron and Bobby Fricke for their selection to the Blair Middle School Honor Band!

 

The Senior High Band for earning the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association’s Academic Achievement Award, given to bands whose cumulative GPA is 3.5 or greater.  This is the second consecutive year that the Senior High Band has earned this award.

 

The Senior High Concert Band for its selection to perform at the State Capitol as part of Music Education in our Schools Week!  The AGHS Band is one of only ten groups statewide selected to perform, and is the only high school band that will be performing this year.

 

Senior Kayce Kobs; Juniors Clay Chapman, Nick Huggins, and Kimberly Morwitzer; and Sophomore Emily Judds for being selected to the University of Nebraska-Kearney Honor Bands!

 

Middle School and Senior High band students for a great fall concert!

 

The Senior High Marching Band for earning an “Excellent” rating at the NSBA State Marching Contest.  Congratulations to all students on an outstanding marching season!

 

The Senior High Marching Band for their “Excellent” rating at the Lincoln High Marching Contest.  It was a very exciting show, especially when the lights went out!
