Financing Activities
The board of education may
authorize the use of general fund money to provide financial support for
selected school activities (athletic and non-athletic). With the approval of the Superintendent of Schools
and building principal, activity programs shall have discretion in the
allocation of funds raised through admission fees and fund raising projects.
The Board of Education will
provide basic support of school activity programs through the payment of
salaries for sponsors and supervisory help, providing facilities, assisting in
major equipment purchases, providing transportation and providing district
liability insurance. Commitment of other
general fund monies for the support of activities program will be by a majority
vote of the members of the board.
