Operation and Maintenance
of Plant
The intent of the board is
to provide school plants and facilities which are safe from hazards; sanitary;
properly equipped, lighted and ventilated so as to be both aesthetically
pleasing and conducive to the implementation of the educational programs
offered by the school districts.
The superintendent of
schools is charged with the responsibility for the care and maintenance of all
school buildings and grounds and for the supervision of the custodial staff in
the preparation and execution of adequate programs for such care and
maintenance. It is the intent of the
board that the superintendent shall delegate, but retain authority for, these
responsibilities to a person who shall be employed as a Maintenance Supervisor.
