Parking Facilities
The Ashland-Greenwood Public
Schools recognize that school buildings and school property are constructed and
held for the benefit of the educational program within Saunders County School
District No. One.
The district also recognizes that it is responsible for the use of
school property including the use of parking facilities.
It is therefore the policy
of the
When an unauthorized vehicle
appears in a school lot, school officials shall take the following steps.
1) An attempt will be made to determine who is
the owner of the vehicle and an attempt will be made to determine if in fact
the individual is or isn't at the school or school related functions.
2) If the vehicle remains after locating and
notifying the owner or if the owner is not located notice shall be placed on
the windshield of the vehicle requesting removal of the vehicle from the school
parking lot.
3) If after 24 hours the vehicle is still located
within a school parking lot, the Superintendent or Building Principal is
authorized to contact a towing service and have the vehicle removed from the
lot. The vehicle owner will be billed
for the towing charges.
