Assignment and Transfer of Professional Personnel

Assignments of administrative or supervisory personnel shall be made by the board of education upon recommendation by the superintendent.

Assignments of professional personnel other than administrative and supervisory personnel shall be made by the superintendent.

All employees are appointed to fill types of positions and are subject to assignment to specific positions provided that the assignment is in accord with statute, court decree, board policies or conditions of employment stated in negotiated agreements between the board of education and its employees.

Except in an emergency, specific assignments of professional employees shall be made prior to August 1 of each year with regard to the assignment of the employee for ensuing school year.
