Resignation

 

 

A resignation from the school system will be considered as breaking continuity of service.  After an absence from the schools, a teacher may be appointed to the school under the same conditions as one applying for his or her first appointment.

 

Teachers resigning before the end of the academic year will have their salary payments divided over the remaining payments on the contract for the amount to which the employee is entitled.  Deductions will be made from salary due for regular payroll deductions and any special amount required by federal and state law.

 

Teachers resigning at the end of the academic year will be considered as resigning effective August 31.  Their checks will be handled as other teachers' paychecks are handled.
