Bloodborne Pathogens

The Superintendent of Schools shall develop procedures for staff to follow to protect students and staff at the Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools from communicable diseases transmitted through blood pathogens. Such procedures shall consider both legal and medical advice. In all cases, consultation with Nebraska Department of Education, Nebraska Department of Labor and the Nebraska Department of Health will be sought.

The Superintendent shall develop a written exposure control plan to eliminate or minimize occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens. The exposure control plan shall include the following:

B. Control Methods

C. Hepatitis B Vaccination Process

D. Occupational Exposure Information

E. Post-Exposure Evaluation and Follow-up

F. Training of Employees

G. Record keeping
