Classified
Classified personnel
include all full and part-time staff members who work in positions that do not
require a
The board, upon
recommendation of the superintendent, shall employ, assign, transfer,
reclassify and terminate the services of classified personnel and approve
regulations governing their employment and duties.
The superintendent shall
prepare a personnel handbook for classified employees which
specifies the conditions of employment, the activities of classified employees,
the compensation and benefits of classified employees; and, provisions for
absences, leaves and vacations of classified employees.
The personnel handbook
for classified employees shall be reviewed on an annual basis by the board and
shall be adopted for a period of time identical with the fiscal year.
It is the intent of the
board that the personnel handbook for the classified employees of the district
shall include job descriptions for all classified employees; the job
description for an employee shall specify the conditions of employment and
compensation within the general guidelines provided by the personnel handbook
for classified employees.
