Salary Checks and Deductions

 

Wage and hourly employees will be paid on the twentieth (20th) day of each month on the basis of aggregate weekly hours worked during the pay periods designated by the business manager.

 

In the event that the 20th falls on Saturday, Sunday or a Monday which is a school and bank holiday the check will be dated and issued on the Friday preceding the 20th.

The district business manager may directly mail and/or deposit pay checks to employees in their individual bank accounts when authorized to do so by the employee.  Deposits being mailed may not be mailed so as to arrive at the destination bank ahead of the regular pay date. The district shall not be responsible for delays in direct deposit paychecks as a result of the mail service.

 

Compensation paid to employees of the Ashland-Greenwood School District will be subject to all federal and state regulations related to withholding taxes, Social Security, state retirement, and other deductions authorized/mandated by law. No other deductions from compensation will be made by the district without the expressed written consent of the employee.

 

All necessary forms required by government agencies and the district must be on file.
