Conduct

Standards of conduct expected of students shall be described in the student handbook issued by each attendance center; provisions for annual review and approval of the student handbook of each attendance center are specified by board policy (5100). Standards of conduct shall be written, shall be delivered to the pupil and the parents or legal guardians of the pupil, and shall be on file in the offices of building principals and the superintendent of schools.

1. Rules and regulations which pertain to standards of conduct expected by students while being transported by school-owned vehicles or by transportation approved by the school shall be prepared by the superintendent of schools with the advice of building principals.

2. Rules and regulations for classroom conduct shall be prepared by each classroom teacher, shall be reviewed by and approved by the principal, and shall not conflict with rules and regulations stated in the student handbook approved by the board and issued by each attendance center.

3. Rules and regulations for conduct in the building and grounds of the district shall be prepared by the building principals and reviewed and approved by the superintendent and the board as a part of the annual review of the student handbook.
