Discipline/Punishment

 

 

 

Rules, regulations, and procedures to be followed in the disciplining or punishment of students shall be specified in the student/parent resource handbook prepared and published for each attendance center.

 

Standards of conduct expected of students shall be formulated and methods of disciplining and punishing students shall seek, whenever possible, to be educative rather than merely punitive.

 

As provided by board policy and by statute, procedural rights of students shall be guaranteed in the implementation of rules and regulations and procedures stated for the disciplining and punishment of students.

 

Any pupil or the parents or guardians of any pupil shall have the right to a review of any disciplinary action or punishment applied to the child as provided by board policy.
