Released Time

Within the scope of authority provided by board policies or applicable statues, each building principal may authorize released time for special instruction for students or special activities for teachers.

Conditions which pertain to requests by students for released time and procedures to be followed shall be specified in the approved student handbook prepared for each attendance center.

Released time for teachers shall be in accord with board policies pertaining to meetings of professional employee, as specified in the contracts of professional employees, or as agreed to by the board and the recognized bargaining agent or agents of teacher employees.
