Curriculum

Curriculum within the school district is defined as inclusive of all instruction and services provided to pupils by the school district.

The superintendent of schools shall serve as the curriculum director of the school district and shall administer the development, maintenance and renewal of a positive education program designed to meet the needs of students, the wishes of the community, and the policies of the board.

 

It is the intent of the board that the curriculum of the school district shall conform to all requirements of the State of Nebraska for full accreditation; in addition, the curriculum of the school shall conform to all requirements of any other accrediting agency or agencies which the school district may elect to join.

 

It is the intent of the board that decisions about curriculum shall be made by the board, acting upon the recommendation of the superintendent who, as curriculum director, shall establish procedures for participation by employees, patrons, and students in the formulation of recommendations pertaining to the curriculum offered by the district.
