Bylaws of the Board
Attorney
The board may appoint an
attorney to perform desired legal services. The attorney shall serve at the
board’s pleasure and be compensated at a mutually agreeable rate.
These duties include the
following:
1.
The routine
legal service of a public corporation.
2.
Counseling the
board on education on the legal implication of alternative approaches to
administrative issues and decisions.
3.
Attendance at
the board of education meetings when requested.
4.
Additional
services that are required as a result of litigation or
unusual circumstances.
