Bylaws of the Board

 

Quorum

 

 

A majority of the members of the board of education shall constitute a quorum, but a less number in attendance at any regular meeting shall have, and a quorum at a special meeting may have, power to compel the attendance of absent members in such manner and under such penalties as the board shall see fit to prescribe.

 

The Board of Education may vacate a member's position on the board if the member is absent three (3) or more times consecutively or absence from the district for more than sixty (60) days by moving that the absences are unexcused in a majority vote of the remaining members.

 

All absences shall be considered excused unless a majority of the remaining members vote that the absences are unexcused.
