a teaching position?
How do I complete the InSight
interview?

Ashland-Greenwood Teacher Application Form you will receive and e-mail or phone
call giving you directions on how to complete the InSight
on-line computer interview. If you do
not have access to a computer with access to the Internet you may make
arrangements to take the survey at the school by calling (402) 944-2128. If you

on how to complete the InSight survey please contact

How do I get the Ashland-Greenwood Teacher
Application Form?
The teacher application
form is available from our district's Employment Opportunities web page. You
can reach that web page by going to http://www.agps.org/supt/employ.htm
on the internet. The application form
can be typed directly on the computer form and then you can print and sign the
application. If for some reason you are unable to access the application form
you can have an application mailed to you by calling (402) 944-2128 and
requesting such a form. If you call after hours, you may leave your request on
extension 400. Be sure to leave your full address including your zip code when
requesting materials.
I sent a letter of application in previously, do I
need to reapply?
Unless the school district
has an opening, it does not maintain applications on file. This is because some
teaching positions have not had openings for several years. If you sent the
district an application prior to an opening being listed you will need to
reapply. Once an opening occurs a file for a position is established and will
be maintained for a period of 12 months.
What is the deadline for submission of materials?
The district does not have
a deadline for the submission of application materials. All positions remain open
until the Board of Education takes action to approve the hiring of a
candidate. Applicants are encouraged to
get application materials to the school as soon as possible by mail, personal
delivery or fax (402-944-3310).
Applications will be maintained for a period of 12 months.
How will I know that you have received all my
applications materials?
You may call any of the
school building offices at any time to determine if anything is missing from
your applicant file. The Superintendent's Office may be reached at (402)
944-2128. The Elementary School can be reached at (402) 944-7083. The Middle
and High Schools can be reached at (402) 944-2114.
I am interested in coaching or extra-curricular
sponsorships. Do you have any available?
Yes. There are some
coaching opportunities available. These are dependent on the skills and talents
of the applicants. Please specify what coaching or organizational sponsorships
you feel qualified to lead on the application form. You may include additional
information on your coaching or sponsorship talents in the Other Information
portion of the application form or on your resume'.
You do not specify an opening in my teaching area -
Can I still apply?
No. The district does not
maintain applications for positions for which there are no openings. Please
wait for an opening in your field of study prior to making application. Check
our website frequently for listings of new openings.
How can I set up a personal interview?
Due to limited staff, the
district can only personally interview a relatively small number of applicants.
The interview team selects applicants to interview from the pool of applicants
based on the submitted application materials. If you are selected you will be
called by the team leader conducting the interview to establish a time and
location for the interview.
What can I expect from the interview?
You will be interviewed by
a team of administrator(s) and teachers. The interview consists of a building
tour, formal interview, a written assignment and the teaching of a short
classroom lesson or you may submit a video of your classroom teaching. The team
leader will call you to establish an interview time and location and will give
you details on how to prepare for the interview.
